First batch of Hyundai Rotem high-speed trains shipped to Uzbekistan.
The train named Jaloliddin Manguberdi is expected to operate on the Tashkent–Khiva route in 2026.
As a result, the railway will be able to serve more than 3 million passengers per year. While the journey from Tashkent to Khiva currently takes 14 hours, the new trains will reduce the travel time to 7 hours and 40 minutes.
