IICA and IMEMO experts held an online discussion
On April 17, 2026, a meeting was held between director of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) Javlon Vakhabov and experts of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO).

At the beginning of the meeting, the IICA Director congratulated the representatives of IMEMO on the 70th anniversary of the Institute’s founding, noting its significant role in advancing international studies and expert-analytical work.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further deepening cooperation between the think tanks of Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as practical aspects of implementing the Cooperation Agreement between IICA and IMEMO.

The experts emphasized the importance of maintaining an active and systematic dialogue between the analytical institutions of the two countries, which contributes to strengthening mutual understanding, expanding expert exchanges, and developing new joint initiatives.

Concluding the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to continue practical and expert-analytical cooperation aimed at further strengthening interaction between Uzbekistan and Russia.
