The meeting focused on the current state and future trajectory of Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan cooperation, including interaction on regional platforms. Particular attention was given to the role of expert dialogue in strengthening bilateral ties.
IICA Director Javlon Vakhabov noted that the recent visit of Kazakhstan’s President to Bukhara and his talks with the President of Uzbekistan have given new momentum to the development of strategic partnership and allied relations. He stressed that the current dynamics of cooperation between the two countries are becoming increasingly more sustainable, contributing to stronger regional connectivity across Central Asia.
In turn, Jandos Shaimardanov highlighted that the trust-based dialogue between the two leaders continues to deepen bilateral cooperation, driving progress across trade, investment, transport and logistics, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges. This, he noted, is also strengthening regional cooperation and enhancing Central Asia’s stability.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of upcoming joint activities for the year, including thematic conferences and expert-level discussions on key issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
