The plenary session of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum featured an address by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 17 June.
Representatives of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) actively participated in the Forum. The Institute’s experts attended a number of panel sessions and events, including the Uzbekistan–U.S. and Uzbekistan–Republic of Korea business forums, presentations of the Tashkent International Financial Centre, as well as thematic sessions devoted to free economic zones, Islamic finance, the environmental agenda, international arbitration and other issues.

As a result of the Forum, 166 investment agreements worth a total of $43 billion were signed. The agreements reached cover key areas of investment and economic cooperation, including industry, energy, infrastructure, transport, finance, technology and the green economy.

The Forum contributes to strengthening Uzbekistan’s investment attractiveness, expanding international business partnerships, and promoting the country as a reliable economic partner.
