IICA Hosts Meeting with Russian Expert Darya Saprynskaya
The International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) held a meeting with Darya Saprynskaya, a researcher at the Laboratory for Contemporary Central Asian and Caucasian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and an analyst at the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current issues of Uzbekistan–Russia cooperation, including within the “Central Asia–Russia” format, and discussed ongoing regional developments.

The Russian expert highly praised Uzbekistan’s development trajectory, noting the comprehensive and consistent nature of the reforms aimed at modernizing key sectors of public and economic life.

She also pointed to the steady progress in Uzbekistan–Russia cooperation, which spans a wide range of areas and is supported by well-established institutional mechanisms.

Particular attention was given to humanitarian cooperation, including education and training, as well as opportunities to expand academic, research, and expert-level exchanges between the two countries.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further strengthening expert dialogue between IICA and Russian research institutions.
