Bukhara Hosts Meeting of Women Leaders of Central Asia and Azerbaijan
A regular meeting of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia and Azerbaijan was held in Bukhara, bringing together parliamentary leaders, representatives of international organizations, and members of the expert community.
It was noted that the platform, launched on Uzbekistan’s initiative in 2020, contributes to strengthening regional cooperation, promoting gender equality, and expanding women’s participation in public, political, and academic life. Azerbaijan officially joined the format this year.
Particular attention during the meeting and the accompanying Women Scientists Forum was given to science, innovation, artificial intelligence, environmental issues, and sustainable development. The event concluded with the adoption of a Joint Communiqué providing for the establishment of the regional network of women scientists, SheScience Central Asia.
